Extra heavy duty robust reinforced concrete grid. It is meant for heavy traffic crossings. The sides are lined with steel all around to which the reinforcing steel is welded. Robust Grid Covers for U-CHannels have the same basic dimensions as Vanstone's Square Grid Covers, and may be used adjacent to it.

PLEASE NOTE: Special precautions must be taken when heavy vehicles manoeuvre over the grids and wheel scuffing is possible. It is not suitable for high speeds and high frequency traffic like accross busy roadways. Consult with Vanstone if that is the case.

Half-round Channel. Woven glass-textile reinforced concrete.

• Light-weight. A quarter of the weight of conventional halfrounds. Easy to load, transport down the shaft, handle and install.
  
• Strong and robust. Less brittle than conventional concrete and less likely to break because it is so light. Yet is rigid enough to keep its shape, even when handled roughly.
  
• No corrosion. It contains no steel but is reinforced with treated woven glass fibre fabric.
